Facts and fiction about buying a refurbished computer over a new one.
Too often, people will buy a new computer when their current one is either running slow, has been infected with a virus, malware or worse yet, ransomware, or they have so many extra programs (bloatware), that their computer is no longer running efficiently. However, buying a new computer can be just trading one problematic computer for another.
A new system will naturally run faster. Not to mention, most new computers and laptops have more RAM than the older models. They actually need it because the new systems also require a lot more ‘engine’ to run them. Bigger programs/features and more sophisticated graphics, such as the touch screen abilities, bigger and better media capabilities, the list goes on.
The great thing about a refurbished computer is they’re low cost, they don’t require someone to remove all the bloatware and you can add the software you want. If you’re current computer is toast, before you spend a lot of money on a new one, consider having us transfer your data from your old computer to a refurbished one. We can also do upgrades to it! (We do custom builds, too!).
Another reason to consider a refurbished computer is data storage. Most people have files, pictures, and more on their computers that they just don’t need all of the time. Having a reliable refurbished computer around not only saves you money on a second system, but it’s a great way to keep your newer system running smoothly. It’s also a great second computer when someone needs one!
Nichols Computer can also take a refurbished computer and build it out to your needs for you!
